The Extendo Family

Extendo: Latin word meaning “to stretch out”

The modules that extend the capabilities of the controllers of the Exeo PROCEDO System are grouped in the Extendo family. Through the Extendo IOM and Extendo IRM products, it is possible to add security zones, detectors and other inputs, as well as electrically activated accessories and relay-controlled equipments of all types.

Since each controller has a limited number of very practical connection terminals for accessories, Extendo IOM and Extendo IRM modules are needed in situations where the need for Extendo Wiring Wiring diagram for Extendo detectors is greater or to activate a larger number of building equipments. Each module provides 8 inputs, Exeo's generic term for a connected pair of sense wires. An input is generally a zone in the alarm system, but it can also be a feedback signal from a controlled device.

The Extendo IOM also provides 8 outputs at either 12VDC or 24VDC according to the configuration made in Servo ESM. These can be used to power electromechanical devices like a door strike or an electromagnet, or to activate relays for lighting and other services. The Extendo IRM provides 8 dry contact relays of the normally open type to directly control a wide range of building equipments.
