The Communico Family

Communico: Latin word meaning “to share; to impart, communicate”

No security system would be complete without the means to send alarms to a central monitoring station. The Exeo PROCEDO System provides a phone line and a phone line with cellular backup communication modules. Each can be configured to send alarm and trouble signals, encoded with the ContactID protocol, to central monitoring stations. But they can also send messages about system events to pagers and cell phones for the convenience of building managers. The Communico DCM can be configured to automatically switch to cellular mode as backup in case the phone line becomes unavailable and a message must be sent to the central.

The Communico PCM and Communico DCM can also receive commands sent by authorized operators from remote locations. These can be used to arm or disarm the system, for instance, or even to unlock a door from a distance, saving precious time in situations of forgotten credentials and there is limited staff availability, or too great a distance, to go manually unlock a door.
