The Accedo Family

Accedo: Latin word meaning “to approach, come near”

The Accedo family comprises the peripherals and accessories essential for the access control functions of the Exeo PROCEDO System. This includes the Accedo SCR proximity RF reader as well as the touch-sensitive devices Accedo STE (exit request button) and Accedo STL (LCD status display). Together with the keytag and card format RFID credentials (Accedo SK/SC), this family constitutes the prime interface between users and the deployed system.

Two Accedo SCRs and two Accedo STEs can be connected to a controller (Cognitio ACU) to provide access control services of both entry and exit for two doors. The controller is designed to be installed in close proximity to its controlled Accedo Wiring Wiring diagram for Accedo doors/areas; however, the Accedo peripherals, connected in series from either of the Exeo Peripheral Link (EPL) ports of the Cognitio ACU, may be located at up to a total distance of 150m (500 feet) for maximum convenience.

Up to two Accedo STLs can also be connected to a Cognitio ACU to provide feedback about access and security services, or to monitor the integrity of the system.

The Accedo SK and Accedo SC accessories provide users the smartchip-based credentials they need to authenticate themselves to the system for services activation. Together these products offer the two most common and practical formats for modern RFID-based personal ID systems.
